(LDRSHIP). Yvette Torbert is the owner of Agape Consulting LLC. Agape was founded by Mr. Shelton L. Torbert, with a vision to provide Leadership, Executive, Spiritual and Wellness Coaching. Mr. Torbert is a certified mediator and professional certified facilitator through the Justice Center of Atlanta and The USDA Graduate School. He completed the Leadership, Practices, Inventory Coach Training in 2019, a Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner and has over 25 years of experience as an Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor. Mr. Torbert created a strong team of consultants with diverse professional backgrounds, which included Yvette Torbert whom he personally coached, trained and mentored.
The vision for Agape Consulting (AC) is an ambitious, innovative, firm that is focused on serving the comprehensive needs of individuals and businesses. Yvette & Shelton are service-disabled veterans of the United States Army. Re-establishing Agape Consulting in February 2020 in Madison, Alabama was the continuation of a vision which began almost two decades previously in Melbourne, Florida. Agape Consulting’s goal of ‘Coaching for Growth to Unleash Your Inner Strength’ is accomplished by the plethora of services, tools and customized workshops and classes available for individuals, small businesses, and religious organizations. Some of our services include Mediation, Individual and Team Coaching, Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership and our tools consist of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator and 360-degree Leadership Assessment Instrument. We have garnered great success with our customized training for individuals and groups focusing on self-awareness, leadership styles, strengths,
goals, pre-marital and budget coaching plans.
Yvette was an elementary educator in the public school system for over 13 years. Her many years in the United States Army and experience as a military spouse for over 20 years, gives her a unique perspective in assisting others increase confidence, motivation, and achieving goals in diverse situations. She most recently worked as an HR Specialist with the Department of Treasury transitioning in March 2023 to managing the daily operations of Agape Consulting LLC.. Yvette holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Drury University, Master of Arts in Management & Leadership from Webster University and is currently pursuing a second graduate degree in Communication Arts from the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH). She resides in Madison, Alabama with her husband and has three adult
children, two sons and one daughter.
